Empire Report's North Bay Community Beats
Empire Report is pleased to announce the creation of a new community journalism funding model, one where YOU directly shall reap the benefit, as well as the knowledge that you made a difference in your community. Your subscription or sponsorship will fund new & valuable reporting that otherwise might not ever be covered, as well as the knowledge that you've helped employ one of the most valuable resources in the Redwood Empire: a community journalist working on your behalf.
THE PROCESS:
Community members and businesses are asked to make one time or recurring monthly sponsorship payments. Sponsorships shall range between about $1 a week and $100 a month, such that no individual or business might exert any influence whatsoever on the objective (and sometimes completely subjective) reporting to be delivered to the community via EmpireReport.org and community journalists.
Unless anonymity is specifically requested in writing, the list of founding sponsors will be a living public document at EmpireReport.org. This contributor list is something that we know will become a direct source of pride to the funders of this invaluable community resource.
